Mukikauppa takes good care of all the information we collect and receive from our customers. We also want to allow customers to access their own information and the possibility to be forgotten.

In order to use Mukikauppa’s services, the customer must accept the methods of data collection and processing described in this Privacy Policy. This acceptance will be confirmed and registered when placing the order (contract), registering or using customer account (consent) or during any other process or action that requires data collection.

Mukikauppa stores following types of information: the information received from the use of online services, the information provided by users themselves, and analytically derived information.

We use the information to:

• Ensure a successful customer experience
• Deliver a safe and easy to use service
• Product recommendation and marketing development
• Develop a circular economy system
• Improve e-commerce and customer service

Information provided by the user, such as:

• Contact information (name, address, telephone number, e-mail address, etc.)
• Payment information (billing information, payment method information, etc.)
• Location information for localization (currencies, shipping)
• Marketing message subscriptions
• Wishlist items
• Product reviews
• Information provided by the customer with separate consent, such as customer response in surveys

The user himself (the customer) is the main source of information. In addition to this, we may be able to obtain additional information from our affiliates such as a credit service provider for billing services. You can see the information you own from your own client account and, if you wish, you will be able to anonymize your account.

Access to Mukikauppa’s systems is only available to Mukikauppa’s employees who are committed to handling information with special care. We do not abuse the trust of our customers. The processing of customer data in Mukikauppa always requires password authentication.

In some cases, we need to transfer information to third parties, for reasons such as order shipping, data storage, analytics, and marketing. These are always the trusted parties we choose, with whom we have comprehensive data protection and data processing agreements. Our partners are not allowed to use or distribute the information for their own purposes.

The customer information of the mug store is stored encrypted in the data centers of an external service provider. Access to databases is restricted. We comply with the requirements of the EU Data Protection Regulation, which entered into force on 25 May 2018, and control access to customer data.

The biggest single security risk to your customer information is your customer account password. Do not share your password with outsiders and try to use the strongest possible password.

We retain the information for as long as we need it for the purposes stated in this privacy statement. We delete inactive customer accounts no later than ten years after the last transaction. We may retain some information for longer periods of time if required by law.

If the customer so wishes, his personal data can be deleted from the account and purchase history. After this, the customer can no longer be identified and the data destroyed in this way cannot be recovered.

Upon request, you will receive a copy from us of the information about you that Mukikauppa holds. You can view and edit your information through the client account page. If necessary, you can ask us to correct your information and, under certain conditions, request restrictions on the processing of your information.

The processing and storage of data is always based on your consent, which you also have the right to withdraw. Requests for corrections should be sent to our customer service.

Certain necessary information is passed on to third parties automatically (e.g. Posti, Matkahuolto, Paytrail) to enable delivery, payment transaction and marketing.

Only information necessary for the implementation of the service will be passed on to third parties, and these service providers are not entitled to use your information for their own purposes. Data is always transmitted over an encrypted connection.

A cookie is a small file that is transferred to your computer when you visit a website. The cookie is stored in the files used by your web browser.
